Changing Facilities

As befits a sporting club of it’s size Bahrain RFC has a number of changing facilities all of which are being renovated over the summer after a long year of use.

Swimming Pool

Bahrain RFC boasts a certified 25m training pool with wide surrounding areas most popular with the club’s many sun-worshippers.

This summer has also seen the addition of a children’s pool, poolside bar and terraced area, alongside the newly extended gym, for the younger members to enjoy.

Gym & Weights Room

Already boasting an extensive array of weight training equipment the club’s weights room is to undergo an expansion this year which
will see it double in size and add a range of Cardio equipment.

The new Expanded Gym will over look the new Children’s Swimming Pool and Poolside Terrace Areas that are being built as part of the same project.

Children’s Play Area

Our Children’s Play area boasts a permanent array of equipment imported from the US and is targeted at the Club’s under 12s.

It has a custom designed safety flooring and is scheduled to have a new shade placed over its entirety in the Summer.

The Terrace

The terraces area and wide pathways at the front of the club are busy areas throughout the Autum, Winter & Spring months with numerous members choosing to take in some fresh air whilst visiting the club.

The clubs popular Carnivores and Carvery nights often see large tables of al fresco diners once the restaurant is full. Another benefit of these areas has been in the regular hosting of live entertainment with a variety of bands brought in by the club regularly.

The Restaurant

The Restaurant currently seats 60 people and was, alongside the club’s kitchen, given a complete refit in the summer of 2010

The restaurant provides an upscale dining experience for those members who may be entertaining friends or guests whilst the same team make a wide range of bar food available throughout the club.

Smoking Bar

Recent legislation, and in the interest of the comfort of our members, brought about the necessity to create a separate bar facility for the clubs smokers.

The Bar has a scaled down range of beverages & is strictly for over 18s only.

That said it still has access to the full array of the clubs satellite sports and entertainment facilities and has capacity for well over 100 on a busy night.

Main Bar

The Clubs Main Bar and Club Room boasts one of the biggest and most popular bars in Bahrain serving a diverse range of food and beverages from around the world.

Match Days and Larger Social Functions will see anything up to two hundred people using these rooms whilst the others congregate on the extensive terraces at the front of the clubs main building. The Bar also has access to a wide range of satellite & internet driven sports coverage and as a result the club regularly has multiple live sports events being shown throughout its premises.

Whilst the Bar Area is relatively modern the attached club room is due to undergo a major refit in the summer to incorporate a more family friendly lounge feel.

Netball & Hard Courts

The Club’s multipurpose Hard Courts are mainly focused on our Netball Sections & as such boast up to 4 courts at any given time.

It also hosts our junior and senior crickets nets with 5 purpose built, lit nets off to one side. The Courts are also used to host Football & Tennis as and when required.

All of the Pitches and training facilities boast full flood lighting to enable athletes to both train and play their chosen sports in the evenings.

Training Pitch (Pitch 3)

Constructed in the Summer of 2009, The Club’s 3rd pitch is a three quarter size grass training field. The pitch is the regular home of some of our Football & Gaelic Football sections and is regularly pushed in to action in larger tournaments hosted by the club.

Main Pitch

This has been in existence since the very beginnings of the Club at its current Janbiyah site. It has hosted numerous Rugby Internationals including two Rugby World Cup Qualifiers and continues to host all of the Club’s Senior Rugby Home Games.

Artificial Pitch

Built in the Sumer of 2010 & Certified by both the IRB and FIFA, Bahrain RFC boasts one of only two recognized artificial Rugby and
Football pitches in the middle east. This facility has enabled BRFC to open itself up to more sports and host more training sessions than ever before.
Currently this facility is used by Rugby, Football, Cricket & Gaelic Football Players of all ages.
